Swim Jobs

A Pool Manager position offer the perfect summer job for college students and experienced high-school students.

If you have previously been a Lifeguard and are now looking for something more challenging and with more responsibility, then a Swimming Pool Manager job may be what you are looking for. A Pool Manager of an aquatics facility will be directly responsible for all activities at that facility plus the staff and scheduling. A Pool Manager will report directly to the Supervisor assigned to the Pool Managers pool.

A Pool Manager will also be a Lifeguard and is someone who must be energetic, motivated, with strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. As with a lifeguard a Pool Manager must be Certified Red Cross Lifeguard, and Certified CPR/First Aid.

The Pool Manager will oversee the safe and proper operation of the entire aquatics facility, including; supervising all assigned pool staff, ensuring that all pump, filter and other pool equipment is operating, maintaining correct chemical levels, maintaining appropriate swimming pool records, maintaining lifeguard schedules, overseeing cleaning and general swimming pool maintenance, coordinating pool parties, and maintaining customer relations with swimming pool patrons.

A key part of any Pool Manager and lifeguard’s mission is the prevention of accidents. Therefore, one of the most useful measures of the effectiveness of a lifeguard force is not the number of rescues, or the skill with which they are executed, but the absence or reduction of drownings, accidents, and other medical emergencies. While the ability to save lives is of paramount importance to lifeguarding, the ability to prevent life-threatening situations is equally as important. We are proud to promote the use of the 5 minute scanning strategy as developed by Tom Griffiths, Ed. D.

In addition to the required certifications we assure that each Pool Manager is provide the training necessary to perform the Pool Manager job to the highest standard required by the Company.
