We are a swimming pool management firm that hires hundreds of seasonal Pool Managers and Lifeguards for the summer pool season. We are searching for qualified individual who is a self-starters, take direction well while assisting the Human Resources Director and Office Manager in day to day operations.
The appropriate candidate must be well organized, effectively communicate, have the ability to prioritize and have a strong knowledge in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Access. Some of the expected responsibilities for our office assistant are:
Human Resources Administration- assisting Human Resources Director in maintaining employment paperwork and training records in Access database and online filing system; assist in data entry and organization of scheduling.
Staff Meetings/Training- aiding in preparation of all employee training meetings and attending as necessary.
Office Administration- organization, tracking and filing of inner office paperwork and overall organization and cleanliness of office.
This is a seasonal position from approximately March to September. Flexible availability would be beneficial. Approximately 20-25 hours per week.
Lifeguarding is a rewarding summer job for college and high school students. Lifeguarding requires that one be constantly alert for any dangers to the swimming pool patrons. The primary duties of a pool lifeguard are prevention, enforcing pool rules, responding to emergencies and diligently applying specialized observation techniques. Secondary duties include chemical testing of pool water, vacuuming and cleaning of the pool, completing daily report forms, ensuring safe and clean facilities, and In-service training to maintain lifeguarding skills.
Lifeguard Job Requirements
First, to become a lifeguard you must be certified in Lifeguard Training, CPR and First Aid. The certification process requires specific training in order for a Lifeguard to successfully perform their jobs. A lifeguard at all times must be diligent and prepared to act with quickness to any given situation. Lifeguards are trained professionals and receive the recognition they deserve while working with us.
A key part of any lifeguard’s mission is the prevention of accidents. While the ability to save lives is of paramount importance to lifeguarding, the ability to prevent life-threatening situations is nearly as important. In addition to the required certifications we assure that each Lifeguard is trained to the specific needs of a facility and provide training that goes beyond the industry-standard Lifeguard Training.
